Establishment of Production Forest Unitary

Ecolabel  formally enacted since 2000, which is marked by the enactment of ecolabel certification for each forest product (Green Product). Timber forest products must meet the criteria for Green Product, if produced from sustainable forest management, which is a management and utilization of forest resources in order to obtain an optimal forest production, while providing services, environment and forest ecosystems in proportion to social services and sustainable.
Forest management should be able to meet the preservation of the production function, sustainability and preservation of environmental functions socio-economic and cultural functions of the local community. Therefore, in this era of ecolabel requires a change of perception of the forest which is only oriented to shift production to sustainable forest management.

National reforms in Indonesia in mid-1998 has shifted the paradigm of economic development of the economy which is a conglomerate of which are cored to populist economic growth in the core equity, so that forestry development paradigm shift from the view of the forest as an economic resource, a space in the forest as an economic resource, ecological and social. Therefore, the forest resources must be managed in a robust populist economic, competitive and resilient to external changes. Thus, the forest should be managed in a participatory, integrated, transparent and accountable.

Forest concession system that only see the forest as a factor of production for maximum financial gain, should be abandoned and should be shifted to the forest management system oriented to maximize economic benefits, ecological and social. Therefore forests should be viewed as a space, as forest resources, as capital and as a production factor that can truly deliver maximum benefit, both to communities and local entrepreneurs.

At this time, development and production management is also experiencing a shift from timber management to resource management and base of forestry development concept that focuses on the social economic, ecological and economy orientation.
